This Saturday night June 5, some of Frank Zappa’s former collaborators will work with the Burlington Discover Jazz Festival Big Band to present a tribune celebration. The Grand Wazoo will feature Ike Willis, Ernie Watts, and Napoleon Murphy Brock along with the Big Band which will include, among many others: Stacy Starkweather, Gabe Jarrett, Bryan McNamara, Andy Moroz, Tom Cleary and musical director Alex Stewart. The show will take place at the Flynn MainStage with the Vorzca trio opening the night. One the preceding evening, a Burlington Discover Jazz triple bill will take place at Memorial Auditorium featuring Medeski Martin & Wood, Soulive and DJ Logic.
