On May 28 of last year a band that looked and smelled remarkably like the Disco Biscuits performed a gig at the Conduit in Trenton, NJ as The Perfume. The quartet offered new interpretations of the band’s material, for instance a rockabilly version of ‘Sound 1’ and heavy metal takes on ’7-11’ and ‘Little Shimmy In A Conga Line.’ This Friday the Perfume will return to the venue, however this time out ‘ instead of covering the biscuits’ songs in different styles, the Perfume will attempt to play a show that sounds EXACTLY like a Biscuits’ show….’ The following day the Disco Biscuits, who otherwise are off the road for much of the summer as bassist Marc Brownstein awaits the birth of his first child, will perform at Jam On The River in Philadelphia.
