Bassist Rob Wasserman, who opened the past few nights of Umphrey’s McGee shows, sat in with the group as well. On Wednesday at the Mercy Lounge in Nashville he joined in for ‘Nothing Too Fancy,’ which closed the first set and later reappeared during ‘#5,’ and ‘Soul Food 1.’ The next evening at Newby’s in Memphis he also performed with UM at the close of its opening set, this time for ‘Ringo.’ Wasserman will open for Umphrey’s again tonight at Mississippi Nights in St. Louis.
