The Gathering of the Vibes, an event that many thought would not return this year, following some weather-related mishaps in 2003, has announced its initial roster of performers. Perhaps most intriguing is the Masters of Funk session on Saturday which will include Parliament Funkadelic members Fuzzy Haskins, Ray David and Grady Thomas as well as Fred Wesley, George Porter, Jr., Rob Wasserman, Melvin Sparks and Deep Banana Blackout. Other conformed artists include Steve Kimock Band, The Radiators, The Slip, Assembly of Dust, the Zen Tricksters, Dark Star Orchestra, Strangefolk and Martin Sexton. The Gathering will take place from July 16-18, returning to Indian Lookout Country Club in Mariaville, NY with three days of music and two nights of music.
