Last evening at the Orange Peel in Asheville, former Leftover Salmon drummer Jeff Sipe performed with the group. Sipe (aka Apt. Q258 of Aquarium Rescue Unit fame) joined LoS in 1997 and remained with the band through September of 2000. The drummer was not the only musicians to sit in, as the Snake Oil Medicine Show’s Andy Pond, Caroline Pond and Andy Burnside all appeared during the two sets of music. Leftover, which is at Blue Cats in Knoxville tonight, celebrated the April twenty festivities with a new song entitled, fittingly enough, ’4:20.’
