ALO’s latest release is called Time Expander which seems appropriate as we look backwards and report on events that took place this past Sunday. At the South Coast Earth Day Festival in Santa Barbara, ALO invited surfer/musician/bon vivant Jack Johnson to the stage for a few songs. Johnson joined the group for its composition ‘Girl I Wanna to Lay You Down’ as well as Johnson’s ‘Mud Football’ and ‘Wasting Time.’ Johnson is a friend of the band who has joined the group on and off over the years (for instance at Haliewa Joe’s in Oahu, HI this past February). ALO is currently working on its next studio release with Johnson likely to guest as well.
