On Saturday night at the DeVos Performance Hall in Grand Rapids, MI the Grand Rapids Ballet Company will premiere a number of pieces set to the music of Bela Fleck and the Flecktones. While this in itself is a curious happening, it becomes all the more intriguing given the fact that the Flekctones will be on hand to provide the score. Over the course of two hours, the Flekctones will supply the musical backdrop to the efforts of the dancers and also perform some unaccompanied sounds. One can only hope that Bisco ballet is on the horizon.
