On Friday April 9, guitarist Nick Romanoff died of a heart attack. Romanoff played lead guitar with the Schwag from 1995-2000 and rejoined the band for its Tuesday night Cicero’s series in 2003 (he appeared most recently with the group last Tuesday). As of late the guitarist also focused on his St. Louis-based acoustic trio The Mayberries. The Schwag will host a memorial this evening as part of its regular Tuesday night residency at the club.
