On Saturday night at the Melkweg in Amsterdam, the String Cheese Incident invited fellow European travelers ekoostik hookah to the smoky stage. During the second set hookah percussionist Johnny Polansky joined in for ‘Valley of the Jig’ while vocalist/guitar player Ed McGee appeared during the ‘Miss Brown’s Teahouse’ encore. As with the entire SCI global tour, which continues through late April, the Melkweg show will be available in the coming days via the band’s Live downloads site. Meanwhile, hookah will remain in Amsterdam (heck, why not) to perform two shows at The Melkweg, tonight and Tuesday.
