Umphrey’s McGee proved quite gracious by inviting all three members of the OM Trio onto the stage during two Colorado performances late last week. On Thursday at Cervante’s Masterpiece in Denver, bassist Pete Novembre and keyboardist Brian Felix appeared during first and second set jams respectively. Drummer Ilya Stemkovsky completed the triumvirate, while sitting in on a second set ‘Jimmy Stewart’ at the Boulder Fox Theater on Saturday. Both Umphrey’s and the OM Trio remain on the road, routing to the east where the three-piece opens for UM during its four show run with Joshua Redman on February 18-21.
