In the slipped-under-the-radar but much worthy of note category, Ron Levy recently released his Finding My Way disc. On this project, Levy and his Hammond B-3 are joined by guitarist Melvin Sparks, drummer Russ Lawton and Karl Denson, who appears on both sax and flute (Levy has performed with Denson’s Tiny Universe on occasion). No touring appears imminent for this line-up although the possibility certainly is intriguing. Levy typically gigs with his Wild Kingdom Trio although no current dates are listed at his website.
