Umphrey’s McGee invited a host of players to the stage during its Colorado performances over the weekend. On Saturday night at the Fox Theater in Boulder, Jeff Austin (Yonder Mountain String Band) played mandolin on ‘We’re Going to War’ and ‘Jimmy Stewart.’ In addition Leftover Salmon’s Bill McKay appeared during the encore, sharing the keyboard with Umphrey’s Joel Cummings on a version of ’40’s Theme.’ The previous evening ‘Jimmy Stewart’ also provided an opportunity for a guest as Jazz Mandolin Project’s Jamie Masefield sat in.
On Friday Umphrey’s will perform at Farmapalooza in Mondovi, Wisconsin.
