Legendary banjo player Tony Trischka kicked off his winter tour Friday at Castaways in Ithaca, NY. Trischka is touring in support of his new album, New Deal, due out March 4 on Rounder Records. His current line-up features saxophonist Michael Amendola, bassist Bob Bowen, drummer Scott Neumann and guitarist Rolf Sturm. The extensive itinerary includes dates in New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, North Carolina, Connecticut, Ohio, California, Vermont, Florida and Oregon.
