String Cheese Incident keyboardist Kyle Hollingsworth will perform two shows this week. Tonight, Hollingsworth takes the stage with guitarist Ross Martin & Friends at Dulcineas 100th Monkey in Denver, CO. This coming Monday, January 13, Remarkable Elba Kramer (its a palindrome) will play at the Southern Sun in Boulder. That outfit features Hollingsworth, Martin and special guests. Martin has collaborated in the past with The Theory of Everything, The Tony Furtado Band and The Motet, among others.
In other String Cheese news, the documentary film, Waiting for the Snow to Fall, is currently being screened at various venues around the country. A range of musical acts will also perform at the screenings including Zuvuya (featuring SCIs Michael Travis, Jamie Janover and Xander Green), Robert Walters 20th Congress, DJ Harry, The Codetalkers with Col. Bruce Hampton and Biorhythms.
