After fifteen years of touring, The Mother Hips have decided to part ways. The groups principle singer/songwriter Tim Bluhm plans to start a new band and tour in support of his latest solo disc, Colts. Everyone loved the Mother Hips, but I really think this will help everyone go in different creative directions, says Bluhm. I am nervous but also excited to explore certain sounds I have just started tapping into over the years. The Hips plan to play their remaining scheduled gigs. The groups final shows are slated for February 21 and 22 at Slims in San Francisco.
