The Disco Biscuits have announced the cancellation of their gigs tonight at the 9:30 Club and tomorrow at the NorVa due to a broken arm suffered by guitarist Jon Gutwillig following the band’s New Year’s Eve performance at Philadelphia’s Electric Factory. At that show the band presented ‘A Brief History of the Disco Biscuits’ during the second of the group’s three sets, a song cycle which included snippets of various originals. At that time, while the quartet described its ‘break-up’ of 2000, Gutwillig and bass player Marc Brownstein (who had left the group for much of that year) destroyed their instruments from the era.
Information about ticket refunds for the two shows will appear soon at Discobiscuits.com.
