Phish has announced the release of a new album titled Round Room, which is due out December 10 on Elektra Records. The CD is comprised of 12 tracks recorded over four days in October by producer Bryce Goggin at Trey Anastasios Vermont barn. The disc includes Pebbles and Marbles’ and Thunderhead, which Anastasio has performed with his solo band over the last year, as well as ten brand new songs. I thought [‘Pebbles and Marbles’] sounded like a Phish song when I wrote it, Anastasio said this past June after its debut. It sort of has that Squirming Coil type of feel, the way it moves through all the different sections.
Phish also plans to tour heavily in 2003. Look for a string of national dates beginning in mid-February to be announced in the coming weeks.
Round Room can be pre-ordered through www.phish.com.
