Deep Banana Blackout has announced that it will be taking an extended hiatus from touring at the end of 2002. After seven straight years of touring and essentially living together, we all need to step back and find ourselves again, says guitarist Fuzz. We’ve had the pleasure of working with some very talented and wonderful people over the years. Most of all, it’s been a real party. As to what the following year will bring, I’m sure there will be collaborations, solo efforts and more… more Banana! …’ The group is expected to confirm a Southeast tour and a New Years run in the coming weeks.
Deep Banana plays tomorrow at Pearl Street in Northampton, MA. For details, visit the official website.
