Jazz Is Dead has announced that it will tour this fall. The band, which explores the music of the Grateful Dead, will be celebrating the 30th anniversary of the classic live album, Europe ’72. The line-up of musicians consists of drummer Billy Cobham (Miles Davis, Bobby & The Midnites), who will be performing with the group for the first time since 1998, bassist Kenny Gradney (Little Feat), keyboardist T Lavitz (Dixie Dregs) and guitarist Jeff Pevar (CPR, Phil & Friends). The tour kicks off November 12 at the Belly Up Tavern in San Diego, CA and includes stops in Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Maryland, Virginia, New York, Georgia and Florida.
