RAQ guitarist Chris Michetti jammed with Strangefolk Saturday at the Bowery Ballroom in New York City. Michetti emerged towards the end of the show for Water and traded leads with folk guitarist Jon Trafton. Vocalist Jen Montgomery (wife of guitarist Luke Patchen Montgomery) also joined the group for Restlessly and Lucy Down earlier in the set. RAQ opened the show.
Around 3 a.m., RAQ played an unannounced set across town at Tobacco Road. DJ Logic sat in for Bowl Position->Raspberry Beret midway through the set. The show, which ended shortly before 6 a.m. and included earlier performances by Marco Benevento and Joe Russo, was a benefit for the Port Authority Police World Trade Survivors Fund.
RAQ plays Wednesday at Nectars in Burlington, VT. For the complete schedule, visit www.raqmusic.com.
