Brute, featuring Widespread Panic and Vic Chestnutt, will release a new album titled _Co-Balt _this spring. It is the second CD from Brute, which released its debut record, Nine High A Pallet, in 1995. The new album was produced by John Keane, who also adds backing vocals, guitar and pedal steel. [Co-Balt] has the Keane gloss to it, says WSP bassist Dave Schools. Vics good at hiding really dark lyrics behind happy chord changes.
The album will be released April 9 on Widespread Records.
