Uncle Sammy has released a new live CD. Titled In the Barn, the album features material recorded at an impromptu set at the Gathering of the Vibes in Red Hook, NY on July 1, 2001. When Uncle Sammys official set was canceled due to rain, the band set up its gear in a vacant barn and played an instrumental set. It was a high energy show, says bassist Brian OConnell. It was a real release to finally be able to play music that day. Addison Groove Project saxophonist Ben Groppe sat in with the band and is also featured on the disc.
