Ani DiFranco, Bruce Hornsby, John Popper and Joe Henry will perform at a benefit concert January 19 at Lisner Auditorium in Washington, DC. The show will be hosted by Gloria Steinem and is a celebration of the 29th anniversary of the Roe V. Wade decision, which legalized abortion. ‘There is no democracy without women’s equality,’ Steinem said in a statement. ‘This concert shows that we stand with our Afghan sisters.’
Proceeds from the event will benefit Voters For Choice.
Tickets go on sale December 22 through Ticketmaster.
