Dave Matthews will appear on Soulives forthcoming album, Next. Matthews and Soulive entered a Los Angeles studio last week to record a cover of Ani DiFrancos Joyful Girl. Matthews added lead vocals and guitar to the song. The album also features guest appearances by Talib Kweli on a new version of Bridge to Bama, The Roots Black Thought on Clap! and Amel Larrieux on I Dont Know. The CD will be release March 12, 2002 on Blue Note.
