On Thursday evening Vince Welnick joined David Gans on-stage at Chez Ray’s in Eugene, OR. Welnick, who was in town for a gig of his own, arrived at Chez Ray’s to take in Gans’s solo performance. Gans invited Welnick on stage and the two collaborated on more than a set’s worth of material encompassing compositions from Gans’s solo catalog as well as Grateful Dead and Beatles songs.
Gans, who is on tour supporting his _Solo Acoustic _disc performs in the northwest this weekend, on Friday night at Windows in Portland, Saturday night at the Tractor Tavern in Seattle and on Sunday at the Family A-Faire in Port Orford, OR (with Sound Tribe Sector 9, Spearhead, Jemimah Puddleduck and others).
