After a rocking night one, Phish continued their three-night stint at Colorado’s Dick’s Sporting Goods Park on Saturday night by playing into old favorites and new jam vehicles alike.

The band opened the first half with the groove-laden “Sand,” followed by an exploratory “Down with Disease.” Interestingly, this marked the first “Sand” show opener since 7/13/2014, and the band continued the trend with “Shade,” a ballad last heard 75 shows ago on 7/16/16.

Phish kept the momentum going with a trio of “Wolfman’s Brother,” “Wombat” and new favorite “Everything’s Right;” they closed set one with a crowd-pleasing “Bathtub Gin.”

After setbreak, Phish dove into the fourth-ever “Set Your Soul Free,” and made their way through “Fuego,” “Chalk Dust Torture,” “Twist” and “Piper” before settling into “The Wedge.” The improv kept coming in “Also Sprach Zarathustra” and the first “Sneakin’ Sally Through the Alley” of 2018, and Phish left the stage after a blissful “Slave to the Traffic Light.”

For their second encore of the run, Phish decided to leave the crowd with “More.” (Bassist Mike Gordon also kept things festive, showing off his LED sneakers as he took the stage one last time.)

Phish will play their final show at Dick’s on Sunday Sept. 2, before taking a brief pause and heading out on Fall Tour.
