Mike Gordon and his band will kick off a quick burst of dates this Friday at Portsmouth, NH’s Portsmouth Music Hall. In conjunction with the start of the tour, the bassist will also release Mike Gordon’s 3/20/2011 show from The Orange Peel in Asheville, NC as a free download at LivePhish.com. This show was cherry picked from Gordon’s March 2011 Tour and fully remixed for the release. In addition to Gordon originals like “Flashback”, “Babylon Baby”, and “Fire From A Stick,” the album also features covers of Radiohead’s “15 Step” and Gillian Welch’s “Time (The Revelator).” The Gordon Phish classic “Mound” and the G.R.A.B. track “Susskind Hotel” are also included.
