Billy Martin
will host his Festival of Percussion and Art at the Shapeshifter Lab in Brooklyn, NY on Friday, November 16. Martin will give solo, duo (with G. Calvin Weston) and chamber (with Fang Percussion) performances at the event. The festvities will act as the opening for Martin’s art exhibit. A number of paintings, on wood, paper and canvas, that Martin created under the moniker “illy B” will be on display. The exhibit is set to run from November 16 through December 22 at the Shapeshifter Labs. Proceeds from the event will go to benefit Hurricane Sandy relief funds.
