Deer Tick have fleshed out their New Year’s plans. The Rhode Island-bred act will stick around New England, performing at Boston’s City Winery on December 30 and 31. The group will play their modern classic 2007 debut album War Elephant in its entirety on December 30, as Deer Tick celebrate the anniversary of the LP, and offer “a good old fashioned NYE party” on New Year’s Eve proper. Singer-songwriter Al Olender will open night one while James Felice will provide support duties on night two.

Recorded by the band’s early lineup, Deer Tick released War Elephant in September of 2007 via FEOW! Records and reissued the album on Partisan the next year. The group will perform at Boise, ID’s Shrine Social Club Ballroom this evening.
