On August 28 Mountain Grass Unit will release their debut studio album. Dualtone Records will issue Appalachian Smoke, which was produced by Vance Powell (Phish, Chris Stapleton, Jack White). In anticipation the band recently shared a four-track Mountain Grass Unit EP.

Late August will be an active time for the group. On 8/26 Mountain Grass Unit will make their Grand Ole Opry debut. Then the next night will be an album release show at Brooklyn Bowl Nashville. From here the band will embark on a national tour.

The group has just added a series of dates to the Appalachian Smoke run, which will find the band on the road into late November. The tour includes two nights at Denver’s Cervantes Masterpiece Ballroom, a pair of dates at Garcia’s in Chicago and a visit to New Orleans for a show at Tipitina’s amidst a steady slate of performances across the country. The band’s full tour itinerary appears below.
