On Tuesday night, The Black Crowes took their tour outside Seattle for a performance at Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery Amphitheatre in Woodinville, Wash. The 15-song single-set show was capped by a two-song encore featuring surprise guest appearances by Peter Buck of R.E.M. and Soundgarden’s Kim Thayil.

The night featured the vast majority of The Black Crowes’ tracking list off their album, Shake Your Money Maker, performed in the precise order it was released in 1990. They began with “Twice as Hard,” followed by “Jealous Again” and “Sister Luck” before landing on the fourth track off their debut LP, “Could I’ve Been So Blind.”

The set continued with “Seeing Things” before moving into a cover of Otis Redding’s “Hard to Handle,” which debuted as a single for the LP when it was initially released. Next, they played “Thick N’ Thin” before “She Talks to Angels” and “Struttin’ Blues.” The single-set performance persisted with the Shake Your Money Maker tracking list with “Stare It Cold” before departing from their 1990 material and moving into 1999’s “Horsehead.”

The latter half of the concert featured “Been a Long Time (Waiting on Love)” off The Black Crowes’ 2009 LP, Before the Frost… Before the Freeze, followed by “Wiser Time” and “Thorn in My Pride.” Finally, they ended the set with “Remedy” from their second studio album, The Southern Harmony and Musical Companion

The night’s highlights arrived next when the band welcomed their first guest to the stage, the co-founder and lead guitarist for R.E.M., Buck, stepped out to deliver the seminal title track, “The One I Love,” off Athen, Ga.-based quartet’s fifth full-length studio album. For the night’s final number, The Black Crowes brought out Soundgarden’s Thayil to assist on a cover of The Velvet Underground’s “Rock & Roll.”
