Toubab Krewe have added 11 shows to their ongoing “What Is Tour” through the end of the year. The genre-defying quintet is known to fuse west-African traditional music with elements of rock, jam, and Appalachian styles.
After a show in Buffalo, N.Y. on Nov. 17, the band will head for a five-night run in the midwest in Ferndale, Mich., Columbus, Ohio, Chicago and Bloomington, Ill. Many of the dates are re-scheduled from a tour that was set to take place in April 2020 but was postponed to the COVID-19 pandemic. The tour will kick back up again on Dec. 1 in the Philadelphia area in Wayne, Penn., then New York City, Bridgeport Conn., Newmarket, N.H. and Waterbury, Vt.
Toubab Krewe are set to film the PBS special Echo Sessions in Asheville, N.C. in December and will close out the year at No Resolutions Festival in Brandford, Fla., on Dec. 30, which is headlined by Big Gigantic, Girl Talk and more.
