Old Crow Medicine Show got the Vermont treatment at Higher Ground on Thursday, July 8, welcoming Phish bassist Mike Gordon and his daughter, vocalist Tessa Gordon to perform a surprise tune with the band.
As fans may recall, Tessa and Mike at a campaign rally for fellow famous Vermonter Bernie Sanders last year as well as with Max Creek in Burlington last month.
For this go-around with Old Crow, the Gordons performed on the Gillian Welch classic “Red Clay Halo.”
Later, the band nodded to their guests performing Phish tunes “Glide” and “My Sweet One,” before the classic “May The Circle Be Unbroken.”
