Karina Rykman has shared her third-ever solo single, “City Kids.”
The bassist and native New Yorker – who many will recognize from touring with Marco Benevento as well as her podcast 3 From The 7 – is accompanied by guitarist Adam November and drummer Chris Corsico as she chronicles the ups and downs of life in a metropolis.
“Thank you so much everybody!! Now play it loud and proud – it’s a left of center uptempo celebration!” Rykman writes alongside the tune. “Lunatic sunshine in a song. A cynical and self-deprecating account of why growing up in Manhattan can make you out of touch with societal norms and suburban customs.”
