Mountain Jam returns this weekend, though not to its usual location, as the gathering moves from Hunter Mountain to Bethel Woods, NY, this year, and one of the festival’s headliners, Gov’t Mule, will be marking the occasion with two sets of music as well as a fan meet and greet.
Before their first performance on Friday evening, Warren Haynes and company will be signing advance copies of their upcoming live album, Bring on the Music: Live at The Capitol Theatre, which is set for release June 28. The meet-up will take place in The Museum at Bethel Woods June 14 starting at 5:15 p.m. Mule will be playing a set that night as well as on Saturday.
In other Gov’t Mule news, the band recently wrapped up a run of shows in Europe, where they welcomed a couple guests including frequent onstage collaborator Charlie Starr of Blackberry Smoke. To close out their Euro stint at their final gig in Alkmaar, Netherlands, on Sunday, Mule welcomed Starr for several classic cuts from the Allman Brothers Band catalog: “Dreams,” “Whipping Post” and a run of “Melissa” that segued in and out of the timely “Mountain Jam” to close out the encore.
See the full Netherlands setlist below, and check out all Mountain Jam has to offer at the festival’s website.

June 12, 2019 at 5:43 pmTelling an artist how to create or interpret art is total bullshit… STFU and listen to something else if you don’t like what you’re hearing. I’m not a Miley Cyrus fan, so rather than going to websites where most people enjoy her music and whining about it, I avoid them and don’t listen to her music. Turns out, it’s a really super easy solution to problems such as yours… good luck!
