Several musicians took the stage Friday at the 13th Annual Warren Haynes Christmas Jam at Asheville Civic Center in Asheville, NC. The show featured sets by Drivin & Cryin, Blues Traveler, Alvin Youngblood Hart, Phil & Friends and Govt Mule. There was also a performance that included Jimmy Herring (acoustic guitar), Edwin McCain (acoustic guitar, vocals), John Popper (harmonica), Oteil Burbridge (bass) and Danny Barnes (banjo). Haynes joined Blues Traveler for The Mountains Win Again. Robert Randolph (pedal steel) and Col. Bruce Hampton (guitar, vocals) sat in with Phil & Friends for Lovelight.
Rob Barraco (keyboards) and Burbridge performed with Govt Mule to begin its set. Popper then joined the group for Mule and Mike Gordon (bass) emerged for Banks of the Deep End and Time to Confess. Dave Schools (bass) then took the stage for Bad Little Doggie -> BMITD. Randolph then returned for Almost Cut My Hair. For the encore, Kevn Kinney (guitar, vocals) and Audley Freed (guitar) sat in on Rockin in the Free World.
