Several well-known musicians will share the stage for a night of funk and soul classics, September 13 at Tipitinas Uptown in New Orleans. The line-up features drummer Stanton Moore (Galactic), organist Ivan Neville (Neville Brothers), bassist Cornell Williams (Jon Cleary and the Absolute Monster Gentlemen), guitarist Jamie Mclean (Dirty Dozen Brass Band), trumpeter Michael Ray (Kool and the Gang), saxophonist Tim Green, trombonist Jeff Albert (Albert-Ankrum Project) and vocalist Sista Teedy. Special guests vocalist Theryle The Houseman de Clouet (Galactic) will also perform. The setlist will include classic by The Temptations, Stevie Wonder, Al Green, Sly and the Family Stone, and Marvin Gaye.
Artwork by Lionel Milton and Frenchy will be on display during the show. The artists will also jam with the band, with their unique brand of collaborative painting.
