Gent Treadly has announced plans to release a live album featuring former Grateful Dead keyboardist Vince Welnick, who collaborates regularly with the band. We have been playing tons of great stuff with Vince,’ says bassist Greg Koerner. Everything from The Tubes to The Grateful Dead to Vinces and our newer original material. It all comes together nicely and Vince is a hoot to work with. We felt it needed documenting. While a specific release date has not been set, the group expects it to be available sometime this fall.
In other news, Gent Treadly will celebrate guitarist Mike Jaimes birthday tonight at New Yorks A & M Roadhouse. The band expects many special guests to sit in for a marathon jam, which kicks off around 9:30.
Welnick and the group head back out on the road next week for a run of shows on the East Coast. The full calendar is available at www.gent-treadly.com.
