October 29 will mark the one thousandth performance by Dark Star Orchestra. Given the band’s proclivities, it is quite likely that this gig, which will take place at the Carolina Theater in Greensboro, NC, will focus on a celebrated show in Grateful Dead history (then again, perhaps it will be an original setlist- hang onto your DeadBase, kids). Meanwhile DSO is off until the 13th while John Kadlecik and Kevin Rosen tour with Melvin Seals and Greg Anton in The Mix (that group’s next appearance is tomorrow night at the Mexicali Blues Cafe in Teaneck, NJ).
