moe. and Gov’t Mule’s fall tour continued to truck through the west coast this weekend. Friday both band’s performed acoustic sets at Seattle, WA’s Showbox. In addition, Matt Abts and Telsa guitarist Roger Fisher joined moe. for the debut cover of Led Zeppelin’s ‘Whole Lotta Love,’ while Warren Haynes and Danny Louis helped moe. close out its performance with the Rolling Stones’ ‘Can’t You Hear Me Knocking.’ Two-night’s later, at Commodore Ballroom, Vancouver, BC, Tesla’s Frank Hannon joined moe. for one of its oldest covers, Jimi Hendrix’s ‘Fire.’
Gov’t Mule also welcomed its share of guests to the stage at the Showbox this weekend. On Friday, Al Schnier appeared during Gov’t Mule encore on ‘Loser,’ while a night later his guitar foil Chuck Garvey joined in on for the double encore of ‘Lucky’ and ‘Turn on Your Lovelight.’ Tonight, the two groups will appear together at Eugene, OR’s McDonald Theatre.
