Phil Lesh & Friends will return to the road with a gig at Bimbos in San Francisco on October 27 en route to Vegoose, however the band will do so with a one significant roster change. Lesh has announced that Ryan Adams will not tour with the group as previously announced due to personal reasons. In his stead Joan Osborne will join Lesh, Jimmy Herring, Jeff Sipe, Rob Barraco and Barry Sless. Osborne will not be part of the bands Shadow of the Moon Winter Tour, which will feature Chris Robinson, John Molo, Mookie Siegel, Herring and Sless. However, she will be part of the Phil & Friends Bay Area New Years Eve run which will move from the Fillmore to the Warfield to the Bill Graham Civic Center on December 29-31. Leshs other Friends for those three dates (which also will feature the John Mayer Trio) will be Herring, Sipe, Barraco and Sless.
