Over the weekend, Govt Mule anchored Quincy, FLs Down on the Farm Music Festival with a pair of headlining performances. Each night the group also invited out a number of fellow festival performers, most of whom helped push the group into comfortable jazz/funk territory. On Friday, Skerik emerged during the groups second set for Sco-Mule, while Ivan Neville appeared on 32/20 Blues. A night later, the Dirty Dozen Brass Band joined Warren Haynes and company for John the Revelator, while Karl Denson appeared on Devil Likes it Show and Blind Man in the Dark.
After being forced to cancel its Sunday performance at the Mizner Amphitheatre, the group added an intimate show at Ft. Lauderdale, FLs Culture Room in its stead. Nodding to the intimate environment, Haynes also offered acoustic renditions of Glory Road and Real Thing at the start of the groups second set.
