Club d’Elf will celebrate its much-anticipated and long-delayed debut studio recording with a series of shows in October. John Medeski, who has performed with the group on many occasions and appears on Now I Understand, will participate in the initial three dates. First up is the bands home venue, Cambridge, MAs Lizard Lounge on October 12. The collective will perform two shows at the Lounge, at 8 and 11, with half the tickets available on-line and half for sale at the door on a first come/first served basis starting a half hour before each show. On October 18 Club d’Elf will appear at New York Citys Tonic and will once deliver two performances, again at 8 and 11. Then on October 20 the group will travel to Club Helsinki in Great Barrington, MA. In addition to Medeski and the bands founder and bass player Mike Rivard, Eric Kerr be on drums for all three gigs, with other participants to include Mister Rourke, Brahim Fribgane and Duke Levine.
