After spending much of August in the studio working on their next album, Toubab Krewe will hit the road for an extensive fall tour. The band will kick things off September 8 at Trade, TNs Trade Music Farm, before heading to the Midwest for a run of club dates and performances at Urbana, ILs Wall to Wall Guitar Festival and Bloomington, INs Lotus Music Festival. The former New Groove of the Month will then head to the northeast for a series of appearances, including a date at New Yorks Knitting Factory on October 6. Soon after, Toubab Krewe will veer south for appearances at Silk Hope, NCs Shakori Hills Grassroots Festival and Atlantas The Echo Project. The highlight of this run is a series of Halloween shows that take Toubab Krewe from Live Oak, FLs Magnolia Fest in Florida to New Orleans Voodoo Music Festival, where the group will play late night shows at the Maple Leaf and Howlin’ Wolf. The band will celebrate Halloween night back home at Charlotte, NCs Visualite Theatre and spend November in the southeast before releasing a new studio album in early 2008.
