Relix readers may remember an August 2006 article in our Reel Time section focusing on Brooklyn heroes Ambulance LTD. After a few years on the live music circuit, the shoegazing group essentially split up before recording its second album, though group leader Marcus Singleton has continued to record under the Ambulance LTD name. This Friday the singer/songwriter/guitarist will return to the stage for the first time in many moons as part of folk-rock band the Rosewood Thieves The Midnight Ramble. The event, which will take place at New Yorks Pianos, is being billed as a homage to Levon Helm and The Band’s Last Waltz and will find Singleton jamming onstage with the Rosewood Thieves shortly after the midnight hour. Before the jam session, The Rosewood Thieves will play a handful of new songs from their forthcoming EP at 10 PM.
