Last week current New Groove of the Month Blue Turtle Seduction played a series of opening spots for 2002 New Groove of the Month Tea Leaf Green. The run culminated with a gig at Jacksonville Beach, FLs Freebird Live where the members of Blue Turtle Seduction took the stage with Tea Leaf Green for much of its set. First up, mandolist/fiddler Christian Zupancic sat-in on a version of Criminal Intent, before harp/flute player Glenn Stewart enhanced Ride Together. Finally, at the end of the night, both musicians returned for a show closing version of Sex in the 70’s, which also featured a silent reading by BTS Sauce and Jay Seals. Tea Leaf Green will appear at Hagerstown, MDs Downtown Live Music & Arts Festival this Saturday before appearing at Blue Turtle Seductions Las Tortugas Dance of the Dead II at the end of this month.
