Both our first and last stories today focus on New Orleans. On January 31 Papa Mali will hold his first annual Supernatural Ball at New Orleans Tipitina’s. In addition to the New Orleans singer, the evening will feature a number of area-favorites, including Stanton Moore, Big Chief Monk Boudreaus, Big Sam, Anders Osborne and Jon Cleary. Next up, Papa Mali perform with Russell Batiste, Garrett Sayers and Joey Porter at Fort Collins, COs Hodi’s Half Note. The gig will benefit the New Orleans Musicians’ Clinic and Tipitina’s Foundation.
