‘Michigan Mike’ Torpie will welcome the 11th Annual NedFest to Nederland, Colorado in late August. The three-day festival with camping will begin on Friday the 28th and extend through Sunday the 30th. NedFest typically offers music from the bluegrass realms and certainly will emphasize this again in 2009. Ricky Skaggs & Kentucky Thunder and the David Grisman Quintet will travel to Colorado for the gig, which also features such area acts as the Emmitt-Nershi Band, Billy Nershi’s Blue Planet with Keith Moseley & Scott Law, Drew Emmitt Band and Vince Herman & Great American Taxi. Other performers include: Particle, Split Lip Rayfield, Joe Craven & Sam Bevan and Panjea with Michael Kang. Late night sets will be offered by Elephant Revival, WhiteWater Ramble and The Ethereal Plane, while Scramble Campbell and Jason Rizzi will paint the proceedings. Numerous micro-breweries also will be on hand with the full details at the NedFest site.
