Listen closely to All this Time and Larry Campbell and Teresa Williams’ fondness for the 1950s becomes clearer.

Widely and rightfully referred to as “the First Couple of Americana,” Campbell & Williams are also sonic mid-century modernists on their third studio album. Musically, that sound pops up in the breezy balladry of “Ride with Me” and “I Think about You” and the aesthetic reaches into Campbell’s lyrics on “A Little Better,” a touching paean to the healing power of Laurel and Hardy across a lifetime of challenges.

Campbell writes the original songs; he and Williams split vocal duties and they’re backed by their on-stage rhythm section of drummer Justin Guip (Hot Tuna) and bassist Brandon Morrison with Bill Payne (Little Feat) and Brian Mitchell pitching in on organ and, the latter, accordion as well.

The band brings the misty past to the present on electrified rockers such as “The Way You Make Me Feel” and “I Love You” and the title track carries a sound that, had it come out decades ago, would’ve almost required the Melvin Seals-era Jerry Garcia Band to cover it.
