On Friday, July 24 the String Cheese Incident performed at the Cuthbert Amphitheater in Eugene. During the second set, SCI welcomed Scott Law to the stage for a cover of Johnny Cash’s “Big River.” Law later returned for the encore, which was a raucous 11-minute version of “Deal.”

To mark the middle of the Days Between, the period between Jerry Garcia’s August 1 birthday and his passing on August 9, the group has shared a live performance video from that show. “Deal” opens the 1972 Garcia album and the Garcia-Hunter tune was a longtime Dead staple.

The String Cheese Incident has just returned to the road and will appear at the Cape Cod Melody Tent in Hyannis. MA this evening.
